What is the difference between topsoil and triple mix?Topsoil is a mixture of sand and dirt. Triple mix is sand, dirt, and compost.

Is your soil weed-free?Under Ontario Pesticide bans, we can do no more to control weed seed populations than you. Even “so-called” weed-free soil is treated with toxic chemicals and is not immune to air-born weed seeds.

Which soil do I use for gardens?Triple mix. It’s a mixture of sand, topsoil, and compost, which results in a nutrient-dense product.

Can you mix different products in one load?Bulk materials require separate shipments. We do not have dividers. This results in 2 delivery charges.

Can I pick up product?Yes. Both our yard and office are open to the public.

What is the best stone for drainage?HPB is a preferred product as it packs nicely and doesn’t require tamping. However, any gravel product could work. We don’t recommend any product that contains limestone screenings.

How much product can you deliver?We have 2 shipping options. A dump trailer can hold up to 3 yards of product. (5 cubic yards for mulch). Our tri-axle and dump truck can hold 22 cubic yards of stone, 25 cubic yards of dirt, and 25 cubic yards of mulch.

What is the best driveway stone?5/8” white is the most popular stone. It is mixed with limestone screenings and creates a solid base.

Does your pricing include delivery charges?No, delivery charges are extra and contingent upon where you live.

What is 1 cubic yard?One cubic yard is 27 cubic feet, or approximately 8-10 wheel barrels full. Refer to our Cubic Yard Calculator for accurate quantities. You can always use our cubic yard calculator.

How much notice do you need to deliver product?We endeavor to deliver the same day, but in busy times, we prefer to have one day’s notice.

Where do you deliver?We deliver from Owen Sound to Flesherton in the west and all areas in between. To the east, we deliver to Collingwood. To the south, Feversham and Maxwell. (caveat: daily deliveries to locations far may not be available during our busy season, and may require a minimum quantity)

How is your product sold?By the cubic yard or by the bag. Please see pricing for more information.

Are you open weekends?Only from May to mid-June on Saturdays. And only from 8 am-12 pm.

Do I need to be home for my delivery?No. As long as you have provided instructions for our drivers, you do not need to be there.

How much does stone weigh?Limestone: 165lbs/cubic foot Granite: 175lbs/cubic foot

How do I measure stone?Length of wall (ft) x 0.5 x 0.3 = ____ divided by 2000 = # of tons.
